Air Canada was voted the best family-friendly airline in North America at the 2019 Wherever Awards.
The teams behind Global Traveler and Trazee Travel came together to create the WhereverFamily in 2017, and their goal was simple: to create a trusted travel source for the modern family.
Now, the WhereverFamily curates daily content across a range of topics, bringing a worldwide focus to family travel, regardless of a family's income level or the makeup of the family. It conducted an online survey of its readers from Sept. 1, 2018 until March 31, 2019, and used the results to determine the winners for the 2019 Wherever Awards.
Air Canada was named the best family-friendly airline in North America, while American Airlines placed second. Delta Air Lines came third, with United Airlines placing in fourth. Alaska Airlines came fifth.
The Aeroplan program also won for the best family-friendly Frequent-Flyer program.
