This B.C. gas station has dropped down to 69.9 cents per litre

Gas prices have dropped over 10 cents a litre in Vancouver this week, too.

Gas prices continue to plummet across the province in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Earlier this week, the Costco at 2555 Range Road near Wiebe Road in Prince George was offering gas at 75.9 cents per litre. After that, on Wednesday, March. 25, the same station dropped down to 71.9 cents per litre.

Now, as of 10:15 a.m. on Friday, March 27, tthe station has dropped under 70 cents per litre to 69.9 cents per litre. 

At leasst nine other stations in Prince George are offering gas for as little as 73.9 cents per litre.

And while gas prices have dropped in B.C., prices have also fallen in the city of Vancouver. As of 10:15 a.m. on Friday, March 27, the Esso at 709 SW Marine Drive and West 70th Ave, as well as the Husky at 1955 Powell Street near Wall Street, are offering gas for 89.9 cents per litre.

The Chevron at 1720 Nanaimo Street and East 1st Avenue is also offering gas for as little as 93.9 cents per litre. After that, four stations are offering gas for 94.9 cens per litre, including: the Chevron at 5736 Man Street and 41st Ave; the Chevron at 2748 Main Street and 12th Avenue; the Petro-Canada at 5680 Oak Street and West 41st Avenue; and the Shell at 3596 West 41st Street and Dunbar Street. 

On Wednesday, March 11., a few gas stations in Vancouver were showing prices as low as 125.9 cents per litre. However, prices continued to fall, and, as of 4:20 p.m. later that day, one gas station was showing 119.9 cents per litre - the Super Save at 1317 E 12th Ave and Clark Drive. As of 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, however, gas prices in Vancouver had fallen as low as 115.9 cents per litre.

By March 19, gas prices had fallen a whopping 15 cents down to 99.9 cents per litre at the Chevron at 2918 Kingsway and Killarney Street. As of Friday, March 20 at 10:15 a.m., four gas stations were offering the 99.9 cents per litre deal in Vancouver

On March 25, six Vancouver stations are offering gas for as little as 97.9 cents per litre.

On March 10, Dan McTeague, President, Canadians for Affordable Energy, formerly of GasBuddy.com, predicted that gas prices would drop a whopping eight to 10 cents in a single day on Wednesday, Mar. 10

Gas prices are also falling across the rest of Canada, with many stations selling well below 80 cents per litre. In fact, McTeague expected gas prices to drop to 76.9 cents per litre in the Greater Toronto Area, as well.
