A defence lawyer is continuing to receive disclosure in the case of a woman charged with second-degree murder.

Brian Matthew Clayton, 34, died as a result of a stabbing just after midnight on Oct. 3, the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) said.

Charged in the case is Dolly Patricia Capoose, 27, who was arrested near the scene. It's believed the two knew each other, police said.

Officers were called to a residential building near the intersection of Kingsway and Melbourne Street, not far from the border with Burnaby.

Inside, they found a man who had been stabbed.

"The man died before being taken to hospital," police said in a news release.

Capoose appeared before Judge Ellen Gordon on Oct. 21.

The case was adjourned to Nov. 4 as the defence continues to receive case details from the Crown.
