The BC Conservation Officer Service sent out a tweet late this afternoon letting people know that there's a black bear wandering around the Guildford area in Surrey.

They're advising Surrey residents to keep their garbage locked or inside, likely as a deterrent for future bears but also for this specific bear.

They're also asking that if you see this beast, call the RAPP Line at 1-877-952-7277.

Whatever you do, don't go near it. The bear is not your friend. He (or she) may look fluffy and cute-like and nice but it is not. It is a wild animal. It could eat you. It might eat you. But only if you see it and think that it's your friend. You're probably safe otherwise.
