Police are looking to identify a suspect in a voyeurism incident at Burnaby's Metrotown mall earlier this month.
At about 8 p.m. on Feb.11, Burnaby RCMP responded to a report of a voyeurism incident at a business inside the mall, according to police.
The victim reported she was in a change room when she noticed the person in the next stall was recording her with his phone, said a news release.
The victim confronted the suspect with the support of some other customers, but the suspect was able to flee the store.
He is described as a six-foot male in his mid-20s, with short black hair and no facial hair.
The man was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
“While there have not been similar reports of this nature recently, we want the public to be aware,” Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Mike Kalanj said in the release. “If you have any information that can assist in identifying the suspect, please call the Burnaby RCMP.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999. Quote file number 2022-4900.
