A "coffee shop on wheels" rolling around Metro Vancouver was stolen, then found robbed.
Your Story Coffee had it's brand new Coffee Caravan trailer stolen on Oct. 12 in the night. "It's our entire business and we are devastated," they wrote on social media sharing the tragic news.
The trailer was found soon after when someone had found it and called the shop, according to a follow-up Instagram post. However, it was found empty as the thieves took all the equipment inside, including coffee scales, bar fridges, kettles, and a generator.
"A kind person has started a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of the stolen contents," writes a recent post.
The kind person is a fellow business owner, who runs a plant shop called Frondly Plants, and started the fundraiser on Oct. 13 upon the caravan's return.
With only nine donations made so far, the fundraiser has raised almost $500 of a $3,000 goal.
The mobile coffee bar rolls around the Lower Mainland, with a location in Surrey, serving craft coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
The small business cares about ethical sourcing and craftsmanship, meaning they "use coffee from local roasters who go straight to the farmers to source their beans," reads their website.
