Canada Line
Service has stopped between Oakridge–41st and Waterfront stations on Friday, February 2, 2024, according to TransLink.

***Update as of 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2: The Canada Line is single-tracking between Waterfront and King Edward stations but Platform 2 is closed and customers should board trains from Platform 1. Passengers travelling to/from Bridgeport Station will need to transfer trains to continue their journey.**

A mechanical issue has resulted in major delays on the Canada Line ahead of rush hour on Friday.

In a transit service alert issued around 3 p.m., TransLink said there is currently no service between Oakridge–41st and Waterfront stations due to a mechanical issue.

"Extra bus service and staff are in place to help customers while the issue is resolved," said the transportation agency.

Customers travelling northbound must transfer to the bus service at Oakridge–41st Avenue Station.

Canada Line customers looking to travel southbound will have to use bus service before boarding Canada Line service at Oakridge–41st Avenue Station, TransLink added.

The SkyTrain's Expo and Millennium lines are unaffected and are providing regular service.

Customers seeking alternative routes to SkyTrain can use the TransLink Trip Planner online and select "Exclude SkyTrain" under advanced search settings. Customers can also phone our customer information desk at 604.953.3333.
