Climate activists are planning to gather outside of Vancouver City Hall from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today.
The rally is being organized by several different groups: For Our Kids Vancouver, Fridays for Future Vancouver, Force of Nature Vancouver, Climate Convergence Metro Vancouver, Babies for Climate Action Vancouver, Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment B.C., and Shake up the Establishment.
The goal is to "make some noise" and get City Hall's attention ahead of the Climate Emergency Action Plan (CEAP) Annual Report which will be presented to City Council on Feb. 15.
"We need Vancouver's new Mayor and Council to take the Climate Emergency seriously and act now," reads the event's Facebook page.
