Vancouver police are looking for witnesses after one of its patrol cars was vandalized in the Downtown Eastside.
The department took to Twitter Thursday afternoon, posting a video that shows a suspect walking out of an alley and approaching the vehicle. Dressed in dark clothing, the suspect appears to throw something at the parked, and apparently unoccupied, cop car before puncturing the front drivers’ side tire and running away towards Oppenheimer Park.
According to the VPD’s tweet, the car was parked on Dunlevy Avenue shortly after midnight on Sept. 30.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 604-717-3321.
