Travellers will no longer be faced with COVID-19 border restrictions when crossing the Canadian border.
Senior government sources confirmed that COVID-19 border measures will not be renewed when it expires on Sept. 30.
Vancouverites have expressed mixed reactions to the news.
Nearly 48 per cent of locals said that Canada should drop both the COVID-19 border restrictions and ArriveCan app. Yet, 19 per cent of locals said that Canada should keep both and nearly 26 per cent of local voters said that Canada should drop the app but keep the vaccine requirements.
Only two per cent of voters want the ArriveCan app to remain and for vaccine requirements to drop. The remaining five per cent don't care about what Canada decides to do.
