With Thanksgiving arrived the first sprinkling of snow this season atop two Vancouver ski resorts.
On Sunday, Oct. 11 Grouse Mountain and Cypress Mountain both saw the white weather usher in hope for the winter season, which begins closer to December.
The North Shore ski resort posted proof of the snowfall on Twitter, saying: "Thankful for the first snowflakes of the season."
"Winter is coming," the West Vancouver ski resort Cypress Mountain posted on Twitter Sunday with a photo of a partly snow-laden ski slope.Thankful for the first snowflakes of the season ❄️❄️❄️ #winteriscoming #grousemountain pic.twitter.com/ywOB7DTVzr

Both destinations are selling early-bird ski and snow boarding passes for the upcoming season – which will look a whole lot different this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
At Grouse, boarders will have to mask up around indoor areas of the resort as well as on chairlifts, which will themselves be limited to families or groups riding together.
Cypress Mountain has plans to promote safe dining with the addition of new, outdoor covered facilities. Its guidelines for riders this winter will be released Nov. 6
