RCMP in Richmond are investigating a decaying body found near Vancouver International Airport Saturday morning.
At about 10:30 a.m., the YVR RCMP detachment responded to a report of human remains found in the south west corner of Sea Island.
The area has limited accessibility, according to police.
"The advanced state of the body may require some time before a positive identification can be made," reads a news release from Cpl. Dennis Hwang with Richmond RCMP.
The BC Coroners Service is assisting with the investigation.
