Vancouver firefighters fought a big two-alarm blaze near Olympic Village Tuesday night (July 25).
Vancouver Fire Rescue Services (VFRS) crews responded to a fire at an abandoned warehouse at Cook Street and West 1st Avenue at 9:52 p.m.
"Crews were met with heavy smoke and flames," says VFRS Public Information Officer Matthew Trudeau.
Seventeen apparatus were on scene to help put out the fire, with one fire truck remaining as of Wednesday morning to make sure there are no hot spots.
No injuries were reported and no other buildings were affected, notes Trudeau.
A video shared to TikTok shows the evening fire.
