Fraser Health has issued a COVID-19 public exposure warning for a pub in Pitt Meadows.
The notice is for anyone who visited the Jolly Coachman Pub (19167 Ford Rd) during the following times:
- Oct. 9, 10, and 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Oct. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Oct. 14 from 5 to 11 p.m.
The Jolly Coachman shared on their website that an employee of the pub tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Oct. 16 and that their last day of work was Oct. 12.
Initially, the pub was closed voluntarily and had anticipated being open just a couple of days later, however, an update from the Jolly Coachman shared Oct. 21 says management was instructed by the health authority to close down for a 14-day period. Currently, the pub plans to re-open on Oct. 30, according to the venue's Facebook page.
The health authority lists public exposures on their website in order to reach any people who may have potentially become infected who they could not contact privately.
"There is no known risk to anyone who attended any listed locations outside of the specified dates and times. If people remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate and people can continue with their usual daily activities," explains Fraser Health.
If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19, please seek testing and then self-isolate, urges the health authority.
Fraser Health also issued this week a possible exposure warning for "wedding events" at venues in Port Moody and Mission.
