Vancouver's favourite amusement park is about to turn haunted again.
Fright Nights at Playland are back starting October 7 and running through Halloween.
This year will have you quaking in your boots with more spine-chilling scares and creepy features, including seven haunted houses, 19 rides, roaming monsters, live performances and lots of eerie decorations set to make you "scream your face off."
The "Opening Scaremony" is a new addition this year. Creepy monsters (don't worry, they're just actors) will emerge from the fog to welcome guests into the haunted park. This nightly performance happens at 6 p.m. at the entrance, so don't miss it!
Another new feature is the "Carnevil Scare Zone" which will put on three shows each night, including the Caravan of Curiosities.
Next month will also be the last time for visitors to experience the park's most popular haunted house, Hollywood Horrors, as it will retire at the end of this year's Fright Nights.
Other haunted houses this year include:
- The Bloodshed
- Darkness
- Fear
- Materia Medica
- Keepers Doll Factory
- Haunted Mansion
For those wanting to get scared as much as possible, an Early Access Pass includes an expedited line for park entry and early access to Hollywood Horrors, Keepers Doll Factory, and Darkness haunted houses.
Fright Nights will be putting a cap on the number of tickets sold per day due to overwhelming demand and event nights may sell out due to limited availability.
Guests should also note that costumes and costume face make-up are not allowed at Fright Nights.
