Hoping to enjoy some sunshine this weekend?
While the Vancouver weather forecast isn't calling for rain every day this weekend and into next week, the city isn't expected to see a great deal of bright sunshine, either.
Starting on Friday, April 30, Environment Canada calls for a 40 per cent chance of showers during the day and a high of 18°C with a 30 per cent chance of showers at night. Following this, Saturday is also expected to see a chance of showers during the day with a slightly cooler 15°C high during the day. However, the evening is expected to be crisp and clear with a 5°C overnight low.
On Sunday, the forecast is calling for a mix of sun and cloud and a 16°C high with an overnight low of 9°C. The wet weather is expected to return Monday, with the forecast calling for a 60 per cent of showers all day.
Tuesday and Wednesday are both expected to see a mix of sun and cloud during the day. However, Wednesday evening's forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers.
Metro Vancouver Weather Forecast
While summer might start off with a bang in Metro Vancouver, the first half of April saw cooler than average temperatures in the region.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Armel Castellan told Vancouver Is Awesome in a previous interview that while April's forecast looks cooler than average this year, temperatures will trend warmer for the remainder of the season.
The south of B.C. is expected to see above-average temperatures for May and June. That said, Castellan noted that the forecast is still showing the weaker "end of the probabilities," such as 40 to 50 per cent.
