It seems anyone who's anyone has got a bottle of something with at least 40 per cent alcohol by volume for sale. Take Ryan Reynolds' Aviation Gin, Metallica's Blackened American Whiskey and now Kendall Jenner's own brand of tequila which you can now taste for yourself across B.C.
With her 818 Tequila, the world-famous model has joined the likes of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson with his Teremana tequila and Mark Wahlberg with his own Flecha Azul tequila. Jenner's 818 is made by family-owned farms in Jalisco, Mexico, according to a release from the BC Liquor Distribution Branch. The agave-based liquor is described as "smooth, natural" and a "great tasting tequila."
There are two varietals of the Jenner tequila. The first is the 818 Tequila Blanco described as light-bodied, with aromas of fresh lemongrass and flavours of sweet agave and vanilla plus undertones of tropical and citrus fruit. Then there's the 818 Tequila Blanco described as medium-bodied, with aromas of vanilla, meringue, honey and fruit accents and a caramel finish plus notes of sweet cooked agave and pecan pie.
If either of those interests you, you're in luck. The bottles can be found in 75 BC Liquor locations across the province with well over a dozen of those locations in Metro Vancouver.
