Hundreds of Palestine supporters have gathered in Vancouver’s downtown core for the second pro-Palestine demonstration in a matter of days.
In a post made by the Canada Palestine Association, supporters of Palestine were invited to take part in the rally that started in front of the CBC Vancouver Plaza this Saturday at 2 p.m. The rally is apparently to mark “73 years of Palestinian dispossession.”
“It also marks decades of Palestinian resistance and refusal to accept Israeli settler colonialism and occupation,” the post read. It went on to express the need to show the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that Palestine exists and claim the broadcaster's coverage is “biased” and includes “racist language.”
According to the Facebook event page for the rally, 530 people marked themselves as attending. Posts on social media indicate pro-Palestine demonstrators are also rallying in front of Vancouver's U.S. consulate Saturday.
the rally is also taking place at the U.S. embassy.
Free Free Palestine.
