A few weeks ago Lucky's Comics wasn't sure where their future would lead.
The building in which the independent bookstore is located had sold and plans are in to tear it down and build another apartment building.
"We’re looking for a new home…but it ain’t easy to find! Like residential rentals, retail space has gone bonkers on price," wrote the owners on social media.
It turns out they've found a new home.
Burcu's Angels, which opened in Mount Pleasant in 1995, is shuttering its shop at 3128 Main St. The vintage store, owned by Burcu Ozdemir, has been selling second-hand fashion for all genders for over 25 years.
The storefront won't be empty long, though. Lucky's is closing down its store further up the road, at 3972 Main St. on July 16 and then moving right into their new home.
