Vancouver police are searching for a man wanted B.C.-wide for attacking a Chinatown senior with bear spray early this year.
The 87-year-old victim was standing at the bus stop near Pender and Columbia streets while out for his daily walk the morning of May 20 when a stranger came up to him and allegedly made racist comments, and then bear-sprayed him in the face.
The suspect, 44-year-old Patrick James Duncan, fled after the assault and was arrested a few days after the attack.
BC Prosecution Services approved one count of assault with a weapon against Duncan this week.
A B.C.-wide warrant has been issued and Vancouver police are asking anyone who sees Duncan or has information on his whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
