Vancouver police say a man allegedly exposed himself to kids on a playground on Tuesday, July 11.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) wrote in a tweet that children "saw a man exposing himself" in an East Vancouver playground and told an adult who then called 911.
When police arrived, they allegedly caught the man exposing his genitals.
Gregory Raul West, 30, was arrested and charged with committing an indecent act in a public space and exposing his genitals to a person under the age of 16.
West is a prolific offender who was most recently convicted of robbery in February and assault in May 2022 and June 2021, according to public court records in B.C. He appeared in Vancouver Provincial Court Wednesday morning and will appear again on July 18.
West remains in police custody while he awaits his next court appearance.
