Marshalls is gearing up for the grand opening of its first-ever downtown Vancouver location this month.
And, it's in the same building where its sister company Winners used to be until it moved out five months earlier.
The off-price retailer is opening its doors in the Granville Entertainment District on March 18 — formally at 798 Granville St.
It'll be situated on the 30,000-sq.-ft. third floor in the same building as Best Buy, Sleep Country, Helly Hansen, Vans and Cafe Crepe.
Marshalls is part of TJX Companies Inc., along with Winners and HomeSense.
Its goal is to sell brand-name fashion and merchandise at 20 to 60 per cent below "full-price retailers' regular prices," according to a news release issued Tuesday, March 4.
"We're thrilled to open our new Marshalls location in downtown Vancouver," said company spokesperson Erin O'Brien.
"Our customers are savvy shoppers who appreciate stylish, high-quality items, and we're excited to offer them amazing deals on the brands they love."
Inventory includes designer and on-trend fashion, apparel, accessories and home decor with new merchandise "arriving constantly across a variety of categories," Marshalls' statement added.
As part of the grand opening, the company's charitable initiative Find Your Stride, which helps vulnerable women thrive in life, made a donation to a Vancouver community charity.
Marshalls' new Granville Street store is its second location in the city, in addition to 8137 Ontario St in South Vancouver, and ninth in all of B.C.
Hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
