A lucky Metro Vancouver couple is celebrating some exciting news.
Harbhajan Purba was as the Real Canadian Superstore on 76th Avenue and King George Boulevard in Surrey when he found out that he won the $500,000 Extra prize from the Feb. 8 Lotto 6/49 draw.
Though Harbhajan was most excited to tell his wife, Swarn, he says that he "told her gently" about their win.
“We are very excited about our win!” he shares.
The Surrey couple plans to use the win to pay off their mortgage and help the community.
The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven on 64th Avenue and 144th Street in Surrey.
