A Metro Vancouver man is half a million dollars richer after winning the Daily Grand draw.
Pushpjeet Gill thought he had an error when checked his tickets on the BCLC Lotto! App.
The Surrey resident was shocked he won the $500,000 Extra prize from the Aug. 26 Daily Grand draw.
“I was at home checking some of my tickets,” he recalled. “I was in disbelief – I was so scared it was an error on the app. I had to check a couple of times!”
The local man was most excited to share the news with his wife, who he said was "also in disbelief and then excited."
While Gill is still in disbelief, he plans to buy a home and use his winnings for a down payment.
How does it feel to be a winner?
The lucky winner shared: “This is the happiest I have ever been. I will be celebrating for sure, but not sure how yet!”
Gill purchased the winning ticket at 7-Eleven on 120 Street and 64 Avenue in Surrey.
