HomeToGo has released its annual guide to the most affordable Water Parks in North America and two of B.C.'s major water parks made the top 20.
HomeToGo, a search engine for global vacation rentals, ranked the top 50 most cost-effective water parks in Canada and the United States by comparing each park's 'big ticket' items such as accommodation, tickets, parking, and lockers.
The study found that on average, prices for Canadian water parks are 25.5% cheaper than those in the US. The biggest difference coming from ticket prices, where water park entry is 32.38% cheaper in Canada.
Tsawwassen's Big Splash Water Park was the lone B.C. water park to crack the top ten, placing tenth. The park offers a plethora of different rides, including the Boomerango, which rushes guests up a near vertical wall 40’ up in the air, as well as a variety of other slides that include loops, twists, and cascades.

Cultus Lake Waterpark placed 20th, and offers guests amusement park rides in addition to water slides. What's more, the park offers over 18 waterslides to enjoy, as well as the only roller coaster in the Fraser Valley. It even has an 18-hole Adventure Mini-Golf course.

“When people think of travelling to a water park, the big international parks in Florida or California often come to mind first. We are pleased to be able to offer travellers a comprehensive overview of the best water parks right across North America, and have included options for every budget,” said Director of Inbound Marketing, Michael Lee.
“We had a scream producing this guide, and are delighted to show that some of the best water parks in the world with award-winning attractions are accessible for a fraction of the price of going to a water park in Orlando or SoCal.”
