Munich Olympics
Vancouver-based David Miller and crew celebrate after taking bronze, Canada’s first “legitimate” Olympic sailing medal, in the Soling class at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Previously, in 1932, Canada had taken silver and bronze in sailing, but one race had only three competitors, and the other only two, making medals inevitable.
