WhataFood, a Brazilian streetfood joint in New Westminster has opened a second location in Vancouver's West End.

A Brazilian street food shop in New Westminster has found a second home in Vancouver's West End.

The storefront at 835 Denman St. wasn't empty long, after Chimec, a Korean fried chicken spot, vacated it last month.

Now WhataFood is moving in, bringing with it cheesy pastels, coxinha (essentially battered chicken balls), and churros.

The business launched in 2017, showing up at street fairs and festivals across the Metro Vancouver area, including the Richmond Night Market; in 2020 they opened their first permanent location in New West.

The new shop opened June 2; it's now open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
