A 60-year-old man is dead after being struck by a transit bus Wednesday morning (Aug. 23).
The man was hit just after 6 a.m. according to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD), near the intersection of East 41 Avenue and Fleming Street.
Emergency crews attended the scene and the man was taken to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
"The driver of the bus remained on scene," notes the VPD. "Speed and impairment are not considered factors."
Investigators are looking into the incident. Police aren't releasing more information at this time.
