A 49-year-old woman was found dead in South Vancouver, and the police believe her death was a targeted homicide.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) said Wednesday (April 3) that officers were called to an area near Rosemont Drive and East 57th Avenue at just after 6 a.m. following a resident's report they had discovered the deceased woman.
Based on their initial investigation, VPD detectives believe this was a targeted incident, according to a media release.
So far, no arrests have been made, and police have not shared any information about a suspect or suspects.
The identity of the deceased woman was also not shared by authorities.
The VPD said the investigation is ongoing and is asking that anyone with information they believe could aid investigators call the Vancouver Police Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500.
