Delta police expect to have officers on scene for several hours as they continue to investigate a serious assault in North Delta.
A/Insp. James Sandberg, public affairs manager for Delta police told the Optimist that officers are at a home in the 8000 block of 117th St. in North Delta.
Sandberg said one person has been transported to hospital with serious injuries and one male has been arrested.
He said 117th St. is closed between 80th Ave. and 80A Ave., with investigators expected to be at the scene for several more hours.
Investigators have confirmed this is not a random attack and there is no public safety risk.
