Vancouver Police have released a video of the suspect in a pair of sexual assaults that took place in Vancouver over the past week.

In the first incident on Oct. 16, the male suspect approached a woman from behind and groped her. He did the same thing to the second victim on Oct. 19. After each incident, the suspect ran away before police arrived, reads a news release from VPD.

Both incidents took place near Main Street and 41st Avenue.

“In both cases, the woman was able to get to a place of safety and call police,” says Constable Tania Visintin, VPD.

“Thankfully, these women were not physically injured but the emotional and mental distress they have to endure is concerning.”

The suspect is described as five feet five inches to five feet seven inches tall and has an average build. In one incident, he was wearing a black hat, a grey hooded sweatshirt, and black shoes with white soles. He was wearing a medical mask and was carrying a large umbrella. In the other incident, he was wearing a royal blue Umbro jacket.
