UPDATE: Vancouver man in police custody after he left his halfway house

If seen police ask people to call 911 immediately

Michael Storey is wanted Canada-wide after leaving his Vancouver halfway house yesterday.

Michael Storey is once again in police custody, according to an update from the Vancouver Police Department.

ORIGINAL: 10:25 a.m.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is seeking a 40-year-old local man after he left his halfway house yesterday.

Michael Storey was last seen leaving his residence in Vancouver yesterday, March 9 according to a release from the VPD. He hasn't returned.

Now police are asking the public for help finding Storey, who has a history of violent offences.

Storey is described as a 6-foot tall 200-pound Black man with an athletic build, dark brown hair, a dark beard and brown eyes. Tattoos are on his neck, fingers, chest and back.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket with reflective stripes, black pants and grey shoes, according to the release, and had a black backpack and black face mask with him.

Anyone who sees Storey is asked to call 911 immediately.
