It's been just over a year since ABC Vancouver came to power with Mayor Ken Sim leading essentially a sweep of the city's elected positions in the 2022 municipal elections.
Sim handily won the mayor's seat, while everyone who ran under the ABC banner won their seats as well.
Since taking office Sim and city council have faced a variety of issues, including issues in the Downtown Eastside (DTES) ranging from petty crime to housing to continued toxic drug deaths.
With the one-year anniversary of Sim's win, V.I.A. polled Vancouverites about how they thought it has gone.
It appears that the city is somewhat split; 27 per cent say he's been adequate, the most neutral of positions.
Only about a quarter of the local population are postive, with just over 26 per cent saying Sim has done "well" or "very well."
The negative options were much more popular, with a quarter of people picking "poorly" while more than a fifth of the city believes Sim has done "very poorly."
