Vancouver's streak of nice weather will continue into the upcoming week.
While temperatures won't quite reach the highs felt this weekend, Environment Canada meteorologist Nan Lu tells V.I.A. things will stay warm with plenty of sunshine.
"It'll be pretty typical May weather for us," she says.
A high of 20 C is possible in some neighbourhoods on Monday, May 13, according the Weatherhood forecast, though neighbourhoods closer to the water will be cooler.
Environment Canada's regional forecast matches that.
"We're gradually returning to seasonal temperatures," she says, noting that highs throughout the week will likely be around 18 C, while the normal for this time of year in Vancouver is 16 C.
"It's slightly warmer than normal," she says.
That said, overnight lows will be around the normal, which is 9 C.
While things will get a little cooler, it's not due to cloud. There may be a few cloudy period or clouds in the sky Monday, but that'll clear up and Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be sunny.
Thursday some more serious cloud is expected, and potentially even a few shores, Lu says, but it won't remain as that's expected to be the edge of a larger system headed into the interior.
Going into next weekend highs of 18 C and sunny skies are expected.
