RCMP search for man who assaulted two people with a weapon in Metro Vancouver

Both victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Surrey RCMP is asking the public to help identify the suspect in an assault with a weapon that occurred in Whalley in October 2020. 

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. on October 17, 2020, Surrey RCMP responded to the report of an assault with a weapon outside a business in the area of 101 Avenue and King George Boulevard. Upon arrival, police located two victims who had been assaulted by an unknown man. Both victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, explains a news release from the RCMP.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, and other avenues of investigation have been unsuccessful. Now, police are releasing a photo of the suspect to see if the public can help to identify him.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 35-40 years old, 5’7" tall, slim build, tattoo near his right eye, with dark ear-length hair. He was wearing a red baseball cap, grey sweater and black shorts at the time of the incident.
