Pups, get ready for a fantastic voyage.
This doggy daycare is one big nod to David Bowie, from the daycare's name and logo to the colourful glitter wall inside; think Ziggy Stardust and the Puppers from Mars.
Diamond Dogs just opened up on 1884 West Broadway in Kitsilano and the inspiration for its theme seemed to be written in stardust.
"He has an album called Diamond Dogs and I own a Frenchie," daycare owner Bianca Mercado tells Vancouver Is Awesome.
The daycare is laden with lots of things to make dogs feel like heroes, and move from station to station. Pups can choose to dive into a ball pit, relax on the many little beds and tiny recliners or two big couches that feel like home, or dig through a chest for the perfect toy. There's also a dog treadmill and grooming salon in the back for the ultimate pup pampering session as they prepare to go dancing in the street.
Fans can also twin with their canine best friends in one-of-a-kind swag.
"We have David Bowie merch for people and we have some David Bowie merch for dogs ... Just things you wouldn't find at a normal dog daycare," the owner shares.
Other fun fashion items include tiny fanny packs for dogs, sweaters and jackets, and heavy duty metal dog chains.
