The renovations that led to rumours downtown adult entertainment venue Brandi's Show Lounge was closing are already essentially done, it appears.
The strip club announced on Instagram Thursday (May 4) it would be reopening later this week.
"Hi. Miss us? We will be back open Friday at 8 p.m.," club operators wrote in a Facebook post.
In Brandi's Instagram stories, the venue also advertised the return of male strippers to its stage on May 5.
A week ago, rumours spread online that Brandi's - one of the few remaining strip clubs in Vancouver - was closed permanently. Signs on the front doors and a security guard, denied the rumour and promised things would return to normal at Brandi's after some renovations. However, there were no specifics made available on how long the club would be closed for.
Last week Brandi's had also taken down their Facebook and Instagram accounts, but both have since returned. It's unclear if their website has been updated at all. Their long-dormant Twitter account has even been revived.

We will be back open this Friday at 8pm.
The related business of The Swedish Touch doesn't appear to have been touched by the renovation closure.
