Surrey RCMP have released images of a pair of suspects involved in the March 12 robbery of a bank in Whalley.
Just before 7 p.m. that day (a Friday) two unidentified men entered a bank in the 12800-block of 96 Avenue in the Surrey neighbourhood. One guarded the doorway of the bank while the other approached a teller.
"The man at the service counter uttered threats and demanded money," state the RCMP in the release. "Both men left the area after the money was retrieved."
Officers investigating the robbery have decided to release images and descriptions of the two men.
One individual is described as "a Black man, with black hair, wearing a white shirt, grey jeans, black mask and blue gloves."
The second is described as "a Black man, with black hair in dreadlocks, wearing a grey top, grey sweatpants, black mask, blue hat with a gold symbol on it, and blue latex gloves."
Surrey RCMP are asking for anyone with tips about the identity of the two men or the crime to call 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
