Vancouverites are breaking the grey monotony of winter and pandemic gloom by filling their newsfeeds with budding flowers and excitement for springtime.
Images of Vancouver's blooming daffodils have been popping up since January but as the days get warmer more flowers are starting to show their colours. Also starting to bloom are Vancouver's cherry blossom trees which you can view without ever stepping out of your home thanks to a virtual tour hosted by the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival.
Even the Vancouver Park Board got in on the daffodil action in early January.
Both the UBC Botanical Garden and the VanDusen Botanical Garden have been busy filling their Instagram pages with their newest blooms as well.
You don't have to have a botany degree to see the beauty of spring though, Reddit user The RobFather420 posted this stunning image of what appears to be some Crocus flowers.

Another Reddit user, artesonado, argued there's another way to tell spring has come.
"True first sign of spring: me sneezing like an idiot thinking that I caught covid, but remembering that it's spring," they wrote.
Even Vancouver Is Awesome's editor Bob Kronbauer got in on the action, posting photos of flowers blooming right in his backyard.
