The latest release from our BC Is Awesome online store dropped today, and it might be our best hooded sweatshirt yet. Heck, it might be the best East Van hooded sweatshirt in the history of this city.
But hey, I'm biased.
It's printed on a premium fleece sweatshirt, just a couple of blocks from the East van Cross itself. The images here show the attention to detail that goes far beyond traditional embroidery.
The design is a take on Ken Lum's Monument for East Vancouver sculpture, which is itself a take on the old school East Van cross, hearkening back to the "park gangs" of the 1970s. Today it's simply a symbol of neighbourhood pride.
