Elite Traveler has compiled a list of the top hotels in the world, and a B.C. resort was selected as one of only two Canadian picks.
The in-flight magazine, reserved exclusively for private jets, compiled a round-up of the Top 100 Hotels with properties in 34 countries.
They based their swank selections on accommodations that, "...offer the most captivating atmosphere, extraordinary comfort, impeccable service and standout amenities."
Located near Tofino on Vancouver Island, the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort invites guests to experience "luxury gone wild." Surrounded by lush, practically untouched rainforest, the breathtaking property is only accessible by boat from Tofino or by seaplane.
What's more, it is known across the globe for its safari-like tents with Victorian inspired interiors. These luxurious tents come complete with electricity, antique furnishings and wooden beds. In addition, guests are able to partake in a wide number of activities, such as yoga, ocean and freshwater fishing, horseback riding, kayaking, paddle-boarding, helicopter rides and wildlife viewing.
