The Metro Vancouver weather forecast calls for a great deal of rainfall this week after a snowstorm caused commuter mayhem in the region on Jan. 15.
Environment Canada calls for periods of snow mixed with rain ending near noon on Thursday, Jan. 16. Following this, the forecast calls for cloudy skies with a 40 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries. There is also a risk of freezing rain this morning, with local snowfall amounts of two to four cm.
The evening is expected to be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers. Winds are expected up to 15 km/h, with a nighttime low of minus one. Wind chill will make temperatures feel like minus five overnight.
Tomorrow's forecast calls for periods of snow mixed with rain changing to rain showers near noon. Local snowfall amounts are expected to be around two cm, with a daytime high of plus three.
Starting Friday night, the forecast is calling for rain. In fact, Saturday through Sunday are expected to see rainfall every day, with milder dayttime highs between plus six and nine. Nighttime lows will also be milder, too.
