What if we told you that you could have in-suite laundry in Vancouver for only $750 a month?
The only catch is that you have to room with a stranger.
It's not unheard of to share a room in university. This rental listed on Facebook Marketplace is set up just like a dormitory with twin beds and a desk against the wall. The listing says that it's newly renovated and "if you want it alone that can be discussed" but the $750 figure jumps up to $1500.
It also says "female" only but doesn't specify if someone has already claimed the other half of the room.
The apartment is located off Fraser Street and is "close to nearby schools." A map shows it's a 17-minute drive to UBC and 39 minute bus ride. There's a full kitchen, a shared bathroom, and heating is included in the rent so if you have a friend you could stand to bunk with suddenly it looks like a good deal.
The room is available starting Dec.1.
