Every year geese get stuck on a terrace near Granville Island.
And every year Sarvenaz Amanat and her family help herd them down and to a pond. This year, though, Ralph Alvaro caught the moment and shared it on his Instagram stories.
In the video you can see a family of geese being gently guided along a street by the family. Cars stop in an intersection to let the crew through. On Instagram Amanat wrote that every year for the last decade her family guides the geese down to a pond on Granville Island.
The cute video ended up catching the eye of Some Good News, the social media account started by John Krasinski at the start of the pandemic to share good news. They ended up sharing it on their own Instagram account.
It was there that Alvaro posted he wanted to find out who the family was and Amanat's friend replied and connected the two.
