Vancouver firefighters responded to a two alarm residential fire Thursday morning (Feb. 9).
The blaze sparked around 3:30 a.m. in a house at 2200 East 48th Ave, Asst. Chief Kane Morishita tells V.I.A.
Though the cause of the fire is currently under investigation, Morishita says the flames broke out in the kitchen. No injuries were reported.
"Crews quickly contained this [fire] from spreading throughout the home," shares Vancouver Fire Rescue Services (VFRS) on Twitter.
VFRS also reminds residents to ensure their smoke alarms are working and to have a home escape plan in case of a fire.
