The Vancouver Podcast Festival is coming to the city this fall.
The festival is being organized by the team that puts on the DOXA Documentary Film Festival and volunteers from the local podcasting community.
DOXA director of programming Selina Crammond says "we are excited to not only expand our audience and programming but really expand the thinking of what the term documentary means and look at documentary in an audio environment."
Crammond says they are still working on confirming programming but have scheduled several venues for the festival including: The Rio Theatre, the Vancouver Public Library, Simon Fraser University downtown and The Post at 750.
She says the theme of the inaugural podcast fest will be "true crime true justice."
The Vancouver Podcast Festival will run from November 8 to 10 featuring live tapings, panels and workshops.
