With podcasting taking off over the last decade, many are considering creating their own online radio show.
To help Vancouverites figure it all out, the Vancouver Public Library is holding "Let's Talk Podcasting 101."
The one evening course will introduce anyone interested to the world of podcasting, starting from the very basic ("what a podcast is, how to listen to one") to the more advanced ("what is involved in making one").
"This is an introductory look at the world of podcasting and how to plan out your own podcast before you even hit record. After participating in this session, you will be ready to take our next session Let's Talk Podcasting 102," the library says on its website.
No registration is needed, and it's a free event. All that is needed is a computer, tablet or phone (to watch on). Headphones are also a good idea, and reasonable given the subject matter. The library also has instructions on how to use Zoom, if that's new as well.
The event will start at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, and run to about 8:30 p.m.
