Vancouver no longer ranked the 'sexiest city' in Canada: report

Vancouver has been ranked one of the sexiest cities in Canada--albeit it's not as "sexy" as in years past.

While it still landed in the top 20 cities, Vancouver is no longer the sexiest city in the country, according to PinkCherry, a leading online store for adult novelty, intimacy, and lingerie products.

In fact, B.C.'s largest city has fallen from the number one spot to 16th in Canada, a substantial slip in sexiness. 

PinkCherry says it scanned over all of the cities and towns with over 50,000 people, "even though some smaller towns got plenty of love," and they say the results were "telling."

"For example, people in Calgary were focused on couples' gifts for playtime together, but people in Winnipeg seemed more interested in self-pleasure. Even more noteworthy? People in Halifax seemed to like their sex swings!" explains a release from the company.

The report authors note that pandemic lockdown measures across Canada over the past year encouraged people to dream "of ways to keep things hot and heavy at home." 

"Over the last year we have seen a significant rise in new customers visiting PinkCherry," explains CEO Daniel Freedman. "People have been focused on their overall wellbeing, and sexual health and wellness plays a large role in that."

In addition to the sexiest cities, PinkCherry also lists the top sex products and toys of each city including vibrators from the top selling brands like We Vibe Moxie, a panty vibe that includes an app, so you control the sensations for yourself or your partner.

Calgary landed in the number one spot, while Surrey was B.C.'s highest-ranking sexy city. Edmonton followed in third, with our nation's capital, Ottawa, landing in fourth. Winnipeg rounded out the sexiest top five.
