The VPD has identified the victim of the city’s 13 homicide as 31-year-old Chelsea Lynn De Forge of Vancouver.
The Vancouver Police Department's Major Crime Section discovered a woman’s body in a Granville Street apartment in downtown Vancouver early Wednesday morning.
At around 4:30 a.m. on August 1, police were called to the Regal Hotel on Granville Street near Helmcken Street about a strong odour on the second floor. Officers found a dead woman inside an apartment.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives do not believe this was a random event and advise that there is no risk to the general public.
