It isn't pumpkin spice latte (PSL) season until Starbucks says it is.
This year, the popular coffee chain unveiled the return of the fall drink to Canadian and U.S. Starbucks menus on Aug. 24, with many pumpkin spice fans proclaiming the date as "pumpkin spice latte day."
Canadian coffee favourite Tim Hortons also launched its seasonal pumpkin spice menu on Aug. 24.
Most Vancouverites joined in on celebrating the fall equinox of coffee shops, sharing their excitement at the onset of all things autumn and pumpkin spice on social media.
"Everyone wake [up] it's pumpkin spice latte day," one local tweeted. "Got my first whiff of pumpkin spice today. Get your sweaters ready," another chimed in.
Some, however, think that August is too soon to bring back the fall drink.
One simply doesn't get all the PSL hype.
